Gibraltar Music Festival

Last concert of the european tour 2014. Sunny weekend in Gibraltar, I've enjoyed the visit!
What a nice party next to the Rock. A gorgeous moon rose over the Rock of Gibraltar as Roger's concert was broadcast all over the festival.
According Roger's blog:
"What an incredible way to end our 2014 shows in Europe!" And I can confirm!

Big success !!!

The festival site installed in a large sports facilities next to the airport, just across the Spanish border.
Therefore much Spanish public in the vicinity approached the festival, and also some crazy fan like me from remote places ;-)

So this "happy" influence was in the air...... The very passionate crowd enjoyed themselves, dancing and singing along from the very first song.
Due to the festival schedule, the show was "a little bit" shorter than usual, but didn't miss any of the hits, even the song "Babaji" that Roger does not usually play very often.

The good new for Roger and team is that everyone speaks English in Gibraltar, so the connection during Roger's speeches was easy, and casual, like at home, they didn't have to translate.
Roger and band very happy, thanks to the great reception and for deserved rest expected after tour as well, since the tour rests one month and then continue the American leg in November.
The concert was great, as usual, great sound and a wonderful atmosphere, another magical night.

Among the guests in backstage was the Prime Minister of Gibraltar, Mr Picardo. I was called to take the "official" picture of the moment, lol
I was told was his idea or desire Roger's presence at the festival.

Gibraltar Music Festival

Ultimo concierto de la gira europea éste año.
Fué una auténtica fiesta junto al peñon y bajo una fantástica Luna llena que asomaba sobre la roca. Fin de semana soleado y caluroso, perfecto para una visita a la colonia.
Según el propio blog de Roger en su web: "Que fantástica manera de cerrar la gira europea 2014!" Y la verdad, puedo confirmarlo!

El festival estaba montado en unas grandes instalaciones deportivas junto al aeropuerto, nada más cruzar la frontera española.
Por tanto se acercó al festival mucho publico español de los alrededores, y algún loco fan como yo de lugares más alejados ;-)

Eso se notó en el ambiente, mucha alegría y juerga. El publico coreaba todos los temas.
El concierto de Roger por la noche, intercalado entre otros artistas, solo un poquito más corto de lo habitual, pero no faltó ninguno de los éxitos, incluso el tema "Babaji" que Roger no suele tocar muy a menudo.
La ventaja para Roger es que allí todo el mundo habla inglés, así que el trato con el público entre canción y canción fué sencillo, y muy distentido, no tuvieron que esforzarse en traducir.
Roger y la banda muy contentos, tanto por el recibimiento como por el merecido descanso que les esperaba tras el concierto, ya que la gira descansa un mes para luego proseguir por USA y Canada.
El concierto discurrió en la línea habitual, con un gran sonido y un magnifico ambiente, otra noche mágica.

Entre los invitados a los camerinos estaba el Primer Ministro de Gibraltar, el Sr Picardo, para lo que me encargaron hacer la foto "oficial" del encuentro, jeje
Según me contaron fué idea o deseo de él la presencia de Roger en el festival.

Eso fué todo amigos, seguiremos informando!
