Even in the Quietest moments ....

Last concert of the run. Roger's tour resumes two weeks from today, in Germany. The show took place in the gardens of the Peralada castle, (a casino actually) just a little over an hour from Barcelona.
People from several parts of the country, and far away. By chance we met fans from several countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Italy .... And people from other parts of the country.
The Roger's concerts in the Barcelona area are always a good meeting point for lot of fans, happy to see each other.
It was raining during the whole afternoon and evening, but fortunately for all of us the rain stopped just before the show, and the organization was able to prepare everything and wipe the seats just in time.

Couple hours before the show...

It was a pleasant evening, and we enjoyed a great show. Roger and band played all the hits, and also several tracks from his solo albums, like "In jeopardy" from his first album, and "Along Came Mary," "Love is a thousand times", and " Death and a zoo " from the last album.

Roger as always very talkative with the public: o) His first words: "Bona nit!" (catalan language, it means “Good night”) And telling anecdotes from his songs (Breakfast in America, he wrote in one hour, for example, dreaming of seeing the girls in California) and as always commenting that there were people from Barcelona in the audience, hahaha, and how much he loves the city, one of his favorites.
And as always pushing (actually kidding) Aaron to say some words in spanish. Although he started saying "Bona nit a tothom!" (catalan language, it means “Good night to everyone!”) He received a standing ovation!.
After that, he said Many thanks to the audience and it’s a luxury for him to accompany Roger Hodgson. He also explained in spanish the concept about the song "Death and a Zoo" (If you were a wild animal, what would you prefer? Death or live in a zoo?) Dear Aaron....You are comming along!

From the original Set List, Roger didn't play finally "Had a dream", what a shame, nor "Say goodbye", a very unusual song in concert, nor "Lord is it mine", but delighted us with the fantastic "Even in the quietest moments " , hypnotic and relaxing song that make us dream, back to the 70's. Roger alone on stage with his guitar, and it sounded like the album, amazing! A very touching moment.
Later I was able to thank him, in the backstage. I love that song, as many of you I can guess. Masterpiece !!!

And what about "If everyone was listening" or "Dreamer" or "Fools Overture" and so many others. Pure magic!
We were also surprised at the encore with "Two of us", He did not have it planned, but he play it occasionally, reminding the mythical album "Supertramp Paris", but now, fortunatelly, he always play the whole song with this band!
Anyway, the Set List changed a bit compared to Carcassonne last week. The audience response was little bit colder in Perelada because the festival is rather "elitist" , but a magical night for all of us, nice memories.

For the Spanish public, we have to wait until next year, and for travelers please check the Tour Dates, Roger plays several shows until end of year in North America and Canada, some with Orchestra, which in my opinion are the best!

See you. A hug to you all

Obra maestra !!!

Y qué decir de "If everyone was listening" o "Dreamer" o "Fools overture" y tantas otras. Magia pura !
