After the recent concert in Tarragona two weeks ago, Roger came back to Catalonia with his band, one of the most beautiful places on the "Costa Brava", the small village of Calella de Palafrugell, full-flavored Mediterranean.

Roger looks good and happy on stage, and the welcome from the audience was very warm, a large standing ovation, something as usual.
Good connexion with the audience. On his first speech he spoke about the beauty of the place, even said "I want to live here!" Laughs. And he said thanks again for the Spanish warm reception.
He also spoke of the fantastic sound and lighting equipment, high quality, which pleased him greatly.

Roger's hapiness moved to the audience, and since the third song, "In Jeopardy" some people was encouraging and dancing.
And more and more as he show goes on. Great atmosphere! The sound was fantastic: clear and powerful.

Roger also recalled the great storm last year, which forced the cancellation of the concert just before the start, but the weather was good tonight, fantastic! You can see the beauty of the venue in the attached photos. The gardens in Cap Roig, on a hill which dominates the town and a good piece of coastline.
The festival's stage includes an excellent system of moving lights, installed within moving structures at the back side of the stage, changing the shapes and atmosphere in each song. Really beautiful and dramatic.
The entire audience enjoyed a lot, and the comments of the people were very goods, especially comparisons with the concert of Tarragona, where technicians had the handicap of heavy rain and storm, it must be said. That show sounded good though, this concert in Cap Roig was almost perfect.

We hope to see him again next year. He wish it too!
At the moment I'm planning a trip to the "States" to see a concert again this year and incidentally keep you informed.

Segundo concierto en España con banda este año

Tras el reciente concierto en TARRAGONA, Roger se acercó de nuevo a Cataluña con su banda, a uno de los sitios mas bonitos en la Costa Brava, el pequeño pueblo de Calella de Palafrugell, con sabor total mediterráneo.

Pequeños cambios en el repertorio comparado con el concierto de Tarragona.
Se han caido de la lista "Hide in Your Shell", "Along Came Mary", "Only Because of You" y "The Awakening".
Pero ha interpretado "Lady" y "C’est Le Bon". Tremenda sobre todo la primera, los pelos de punta !!
Curiosamente ambos temas se los había pedido yo en alguna ocasión hace tiempo, cuando no estaban en su repertorio en solitario, así que me ha hecho mucha ilusión disfrutarlos ahora, y además con toda la banda !

El resto del repertorio era igual, incluido el homenaje a John Lennon y los Beatles con el tema "Across the Universe", momento que capturé en una de las fotos mostradas en el reportaje.

Roger salió super animado al escenario, y el publico le recibió con una larga ovación, algo ya habitual.
Se le notaba feliz y dicharachero. En su primeras palabras para el público comentó la belleza del lugar, hasta comentó "yo quiero vivir aquí !! " entre risas. Y agradeció de nuevo el calor del publico español.
También habló del fantástico equipo de sonido y luces, todo el montaje en general, de gran calidad, lo que le agradó mucho.

Su animo trascendió al público, y ya desde la tercera canción, "in Jeopardy" se véía gente depie animando.
Y a medida que avanzaba el show se fué animando mucho más. Aunque todo eran asientos, pasamos los últimos temas en pie. Gran ambiente !  El sonido era excepcional, fuerte, claro y potente.

Todo el público disfrutó cantidad, y los comentarios de la gente eran buenísimos, sobre todo las comparaciones con el concierto de Tarragona, donde los técnicos tuvieron el handicap de la lluvia  y la tormenta, todo hay que decirlo. Que aunque sonó bien, este concierto de Cap Roig ya rozó la perfección.
Esperemos verle de nuevo por aquí el año próximo. Ganas no le faltan !
Yo de momento me escaparé a los "States" para ver algún concierto más este año y de paso manteneros informados.
