SUPERTRAMP ANNOUNCES AUTUMN 2015 EUROPEAN TOUR



Supertramp has announced plans for their SUPERTRAMP FOREVER TOUR, their first live performances in more than five years. The tour will begin on November 3, 2015 in Porto, Portugal and will include some 26 arena shows in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and England.Joining Supertramp’s founder, lead singer and keyboardist, Rick Davies, are legendary Supertramp members John Anthony Helliwell, saxophones and woodwinds, and Bob Siebenberg, drums. Veterans of past Supertramp tours, Jesse Siebenberg, lead vocals, guitars and percussion, Cliff Hugo, bass, Carl Verheyen, guitars, Lee Thornburg, horns, Gabe Dixon, vocals and keyboards, and Cassie Miller, background vocals, will once again round out the lineup. The SUPERTRAMP FOREVER TOUR will also feature the much-heralded return of Mark Hart, vocals, guitars and keyboards, to the Supertramp lineup.

Supertramp ha anunciado sus planes para una nueva gira llamada SUPERTRAMP FOREVER TOUR, su vuelta a los escenarios tras cinco años. El tour comenzará el 3 de Noviembre en Porto, Portugal e incluirá 26 shows en grandes recintos de Francia, Alemania, Austria, Suiza, España, Italia, Portugal, Belgica, Holanda, Luxemburgo y Reino Unido. Formarán la banda el fundador de Supertramp, voz principal y teclista, Rick Davies, además de miembros legendarios de la banda como John Anthony Helliwell, saxofones y vientos, y Bob Siebenberg a la batería. (AUGUST 4, 2015) — Supertramp regretfully announces that all dates for its “Supertramp Forever” European tour have been cancelled due to health issues affecting the band’s founder, Rick Davies. Davies was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma and has begun aggressive treatment to combat the disease.

Rick Davies issued the following statement earlier today, “I was really looking forward to returning to Europe and playing with the band again and I’m sorry to disappoint everyone who has overwhelmingly supported the upcoming tour. Unfortunately my current health issues have derailed me and right now I need to focus all of my energy on getting well.

Supertramp thanks its fans for their support and asks for privacy during this matter. No further statements will be made.


4 Agosto 2015: Supertramp anuncia desgraciadamente la cancelación de la gira Europea que tenían prevista para Noviembre y Diciembre, debido al cáncer que padece Rick Davies. Con 71 años recién cumplidos el mes pasado se le ha diagnosticado un mieloma multiple, que requiere un tratamiento agresivo. Indican que no emitirán más comunicados, agradecen el apoyo de los fans y piden respeto a la privacidad durante el proceso..
